About the Community Services Center & Store Font

The Community Services Building will include a Banquet/Conference Hall that will be used for functions, lectures, seminars, and other local events for the community. With a hosting capacity of 1200 people at any given time, the center will attract large gatherings, promote awareness, and will serve as a foundation of support to the community around it. Members of the community can rent the hall for weddings and family functions or the city can utilize the hall for town hall meetings, conferences and other large scale educational seminars for the greater community.  In addition, in the event of a disaster, the two story structured hall with its separate upstairs bathrooms and storage facility could be utilized as a disaster relief site for the distribution of or to serve as a shelter. The funds from the rental of the Banquet/Conference Hall will serve as additional revenue for the upkeep of the facility and operational costs of the medical clinic.

The Community Services Center will provide support, assistance, guidance, and pave the path for a new enriched and fulfilling way of life for the needy local community of Athulugama, Sri Lanka.

The Foundation will also build three rent-able storefronts, in hopes that the project will self-sustain to its fullest capacity relieving the necessity of fundraising for its operations. The consistent monthly income the fronts will bring, in addition to the revenue that the Banquet/Conference Hall  will hope to generate will be used for the Mosque’s and Community Center’s upkeep, operations, and maintenance expenses.

The Construction Commencement of this Phase of the project will begin Early to Mid Year of 2014.
