Bayt Ur-Rahman Mosque
The Masjid named Bayt Ur-Rahman (the House of the Most Merciful, or House of Allah) was opened to the public on Friday the 15th of May 2015.
It opened during Fajr prayer, with over 600 people who participated in blessing this occasion with prayers and supplication. The 1st Jummah was also conducted the same day, with an overwhelming number of participants, close to 2,000 patrons. The capacity of the Masjid is 1,200, and the overflow was accommodated in the hallways, the walkways and outside the Masjid.
The days after the opening showed great success. There were between 300 and 500 people during the Isha and Fajr prayers each day at the Masjid, which more than proved the need for this Masjid in the area. Additionally, the children of Give Light Home get to pray all 5 daily prayers in congregation.
We have a full time Imam at the Masjid and cleaning staff for its regular maintenance.
