Give Light Home & Community Project

The City of Athulugama, Sri Lanka was carefully selected as the project site, given the highly dense population of over 20,000 people that reside with less than minimal resources and facilities made available by the local government for its local community to survive. Many families barely survive with poor or no health care facilities nearby, no community center for resources, and no employment or vocational training so they can gain employment to support their families. Many children are forced to live in substandard conditions as they have been orphaned or abandoned at a very young age. This project hopes to provide a backbone of support to its local community through its various resources, and most importantly serve as a home for the orphaned children of Sri Lanka.

Our project contractor

Our contractor for the project was carefully selected out of four top contenders who submitted tenders for consideration. The tenders were carefully reviewed by our Board and Civil Engineering Consultants, who recommended awarding the contract to Wahid Construction Corporation. They are a highly reputed, ISO Certified, M1 Level contractor, and were chosen based on competitive price, turnaround time and expertise in the area.
